Bhutan Travel 3 days: Paro Tour is a wonderful short trip to experience a glimpse of Bhutan. This tour offers an opportunity to travel around major tourist places of Paro. Paro is a scenic valley of Bhutan with rich culture and outstanding heritages.
During this 3 days Bhutan tour firstly you will visit Rinpung Dzong. It is the Fortress built in 1646 by the first spiritual and temporal ruler of Bhutan. Now, this houses the monastic body of Paro, the office of district administrative head and Paro district Court.
Secondly, you go to see Ta Dzong. This is the old artistic building built in the 17th century. At present this building is serving as the National Museum and it has an attractive collection of many art and artifacts of Bhutan.
Next, your sightseeing will be to Tiger’s Nest Monastery which is locally known as Taktsang. This is the amazing monastery situated on the side of a cliff. It is nine hundred meters above the Paro valley floor. Taktsang is one of the most sacred monasteries of Bhutan.
Subsequently, you visit Drukgyel Dzong. It also the fortress but its carrying glorious history of Bhutan. It was built to celebrate victory over the Tibetan invaders. Similarly, Kyichu Lhakhang is one of the oldest and most sacred shrines in Bhutan that dated back to 7th century. In its complex, you find two beautiful temples.
Lastly, you visit Farm House which is the cluster of colorful, decorative and traditionally built houses. Visit Farm House offers a glimpse of the lifestyle of farmers.
Getting into Bhutan
There are only two Airlines (Druk Air and Bhutan Airlines) which flying in and out of Bhutan. Both airlines have a flight from Kathmandu to Paro and vice versa. Paro is the only international airport of Bhutan. Thus, you may start your journey to Bhutan via Kathmandu Nepal, the Himalayan country with Mount Everest.
